DR. GENE KEMPER, DC, DABCO, PRECISION UPPER CERVICAL SPECIALIST
Dr. Gene Kemper, Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists, graduated with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1983. Dr. Kemper's innovative, advanced chiropractic techniques employ precise tools and technology that measure head and spinal misalignment accurately. He has helped patients who suffered from complex symptoms associated with previously undiagnosed pressure at the base of the brain or throughout the spinal cord after trauma. All too often, serious symptoms persist in closed head injuries where serious trauma-induced misalignment of the head and neck is overlooked.
Three-dimensional measurement and precise directional correction can restore health. In over 24 years as a chiropractor, Dr. Kemper has treated thousands of patients, focusing on correcting poor spinal alignment and releasing tension from the central nervous system. He has consistently helped patients with problems previously considered difficult or even impossible to treat.
DR. RUSS KALEN, DC AND ADVANCED CRANIOSACRAL THERAPIST
Dr. Kalen is an expert in the advanced techniques of Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. He graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 1985 and studied advanced Craniosacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute. He now teaches these techniques through the Institute as well as lectures on their benefits and use. Dr Kalen realizes that everyone has a different body texture and so requires a different therapeutic approach. He incorporates a wide selection of chiropractic and physical therapy techniques and styles to fit his therapy to the patient.
He is a member of The American Chiropractic Association, California Chiropractic Association, International Association of Healthcare Practitioners and The American Craniosacral Therapy Association.
SHARILYN NIELSEN AND SUZANNE DECKER, NEUROFEEDBACK TECHNICIANS
Sharilyn and Suzanne offer an important treatment for recovery from closed head injury. They utilize the latest in neurofeedback technology and training from Dr. Margaret Ayers, the All Digital Real-Time EEG inventor. All Digital Real-Time EEG enables the clinician and the patient to see the brain wave patterns within 1/1000 th of a second. This makes an amazing difference in the speed at which training takes place. Intake exams, done by the technicians, showing brainwave patterns are interpreted by Dr. Ayers and her associates with their recommendations for correction.
The inventor of the Neuropathways All Digital Real-Time EEG, Margaret Ayers, PhD, realized the information from regular Q-EEG's was not adequate for the brain to use if it were to learn to correct abnormal patterns. The patterns seen on the Q-EEGs are not in real-time, and are only a mathematical sum-average of portions of patterns - secondary information. In addition to supervising all patients receiving HBO therapy at Chico Hyperbarics, Dr. Johnson is a Board Certified Family Practice Physician and operates a busy family practice adjacent to the HBO clinic.
